Where is the option "they all fail"? Even while Dragonball was kinda new for its time, I think its childish and completely overrated, just like Naruto, Bleach, etc. The only Shonen Jump anime I completely watched and kinda enjoyed was Hunter X Hunter (although that one had a really rough start).
For some real quality Japanese animation, watch the Hellsing Ultimate OVA's.

By the way: for a GOOD Shonen Jump anime, check out Hunter X Hunter.

Why? Because they're all from Japan? I chose One Piece. Naruto turned to crap after the end of Part I, and I've heard Bleach is nothing but fighting, fighting, fighting, and characters with names you can't pronounce. But anyway, back to One Piece. The series starts off pretty slow at first, taking about 35 episodes before things get good. But when it does, it never lets go. Every arc from Arlong Park and beyond introduces creative new locations and terminologies, unique, likable characters, and entertaining fights that never last too long. Another thing I love is that it throws in twists when you truly aren't expecting them. And when they do happen, they leave you dying for more. Just look at what's going on right now; a huge war with the absolute strongest of the strongest characters started last week. Bottom line, you should check it out. Admittedly, it can get very weird at times and the art style may look childish, but I honestly think all ages can enjoy it. (No joke, I've seen fans ranging from age 8-mid 40s).

Like I said, they all suck In My Opinion. I don't like anime. I watched Yu-gi-oh and naruto but I stopped because I got Boring and Confusing.
